A successful PAMSP requires accountability & transparency

The week of 5/11-15/2020 there was a planned meeting between members of PennDOT and a single group to discuss the future of the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program (PAMSP).

No, you would not have heard about it on the Internet. No, it didn’t appear on any public schedule, and no, you would not have been invited if you weren’t on the list.

Which, most likely, you weren’t.

In fact, because others found out about it – and requested that they be able to attend (keep in mind Pennsylvania does have a Sunshine Act) – the meeting was cancelled.

In the past there had been calls for more accountability and transparency regarding the Program. In the past there hasn’t been, including the most recent past.

It’s a shame to see, so far, that isn’t changing.
